At BESTLEAFTEA, we take pride in providing our customers with the finest teas from around the world. Our Jinjunmei Black Tea (Golden Monkey Black Tea 金骏眉)is no exception, and we're excited to share its unique origins, characteristics, and benefits with you.
Origin
Jin Jun Mei tea is a type of black tea that belongs to the branch of Lapsang Souchong tea. It originated in Tongmu Village, Wuyishan City, Fujian Province. Jin Jun Mei was developed in 2005 through innovation and integration by a team led by Jiang Yuanxun, the 24th generation inheritor of Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong red tea, based on traditional craftsmanship.
Jin Jun Mei is a handmade black tea that is produced entirely by tea masters. It takes tens of thousands of fresh tea buds to make just 500 grams of Jin Jun Mei, which are picked from high-altitude, native bushes in the Wuyishan Nature Reserve. The tea goes through a series of complex processing steps, including withering, shaking, fermentation, rolling, and twisting, before it is finished. Jin Jun Mei is a rare and precious tea, with small and tight tea leaves that are accompanied by golden tea fuzz. The tea has a golden hue and a refreshing sweetness when consumed.
Features
Jinjunmei Black Tea is prized for its bold, complex flavor and aroma. It has a rich, smoky taste with hints of honey and a subtle sweetness that lingers on the tongue. Its unique flavor profile sets it apart from other black teas, which tend to be more straightforward and robust.
Benefit
One of the key features of Jinjunmei Black Tea is its high antioxidant content. Antioxidants are compounds that help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can cause oxidative stress and lead to chronic diseases. By drinking Jinjunmei Black Tea, you can boost your body's natural defenses, promote healthy aging, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
Another benefit of Jinjunmei Black Tea is its potential to boost brain function and improve mental performance. The caffeine and theanine content in black tea can help increase alertness, focus, and mental clarity, making it an ideal beverage to enjoy in the morning or during a busy workday.
