Tea Story
In May 2024, the BESTLEAFTEA team traveled to the ancient tea mountains of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, to visit the tea gardens and see the production process firsthand. Despite wind and rain, the journey led through rugged mountain roads, babbling streams, valleys, misty forests, and ancient tea trees hidden in the mountains.
After a four-hour hike through the tea landscape, the team arrived at a safe, hygienic, and standardized production factory to see how the tea was carefully crafted. BESTLEAFTEA also notes a long-term partnership with Yunnan Rain Forest Tea Group to provide customers with safe, high-quality Pu-erh tea varieties.

Q&A
What is 2018 Premium Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea 200g?
This is a ripe Pu-erh tea from Yunnan made with sun-dried large-leaf tea from ancient tea trees. It offers a smooth, rich cup with the deeper character that Pu-erh drinkers appreciate.
What does this tea taste like?
It tastes smooth, rich, and full-bodied, with a warm aromatic quality and a rounded finish. Ripe Pu-erh is known for a mellow cup that feels comforting and steady.
Does this tea contain caffeine?
Yes, Pu-erh tea naturally contains caffeine. The strength of the cup can vary depending on how much leaf you use and how long you steep it.
Is this tea bitter?
Ripe Pu-erh is usually smoother and less bitter than many fresh teas, especially when brewed with near-boiling water and a moderate steep. A shorter steep helps keep the cup round and balanced.
How many times can I steep this tea?
You can steep loose leaf Pu-erh several times. Later infusions usually become softer and lighter, while still keeping a pleasant depth.
What's the difference between loose leaf and tea bags?
Loose leaf tea gives the leaves more room to open, which usually brings out fuller aroma and flavor. Tea bags are more convenient, but loose leaf Pu-erh offers a more layered cup.
How long does shipping take?
Orders usually ship within 1-3 business days.
Where do you ship from?
We ship from California, USA.
